Weddings

We enjoyed our wedding planning experience at Lago Custom Events. My husband and I come from very different cultures and religions and worked really (REALLY!) hard to plan a fusion wedding that represents both sides. For starters, he was looking for a venue in the city, while I was looking for more of a rustic, scenic outdoorsy spot. Lago provided us with both. The location also allowed for us to spend time in the Flats with our traveling guests. People had plenty of places to go during down-time. Coordinator Diana DeJesus assisted us during our planning and was so kind and patient throughout the process. With such different families and faith, there were many things we could not answer for her on the spot, but it never mattered. She was great with giving us time to work through it, yet organized and diligent to follow up to make sure it was taken care of. Throughout the planning process, I truly believe that Diana was just as invested as we were in seeing our day go beautifully. :) On the day of the wedding, Diana was wonderful helping me make it to the alter. I knew we were in good hands with her and that we wouldn't need to worry about anything. The ceremony went smoothly and the Lago staff was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately as the afternoon progressed, we received terrible weather news (tornado watch, heavy rain) and had to move our reception indoors last minute. I have never, ever seen anyone work as hard as Diana and the Lago staff did to move the entire reception in such a short time. It was absolutely a miracle that they were able to turn everything around so quickly, all while Diana remained very calm. I think guests were also amazed to see how incredible this team worked together under very stressful conditions - or at least they made it seem! We received many comments that night from guests sharing their disbelief on the weather forecast and the admiration for the events team. Although our day did not go as we envisioned due to these quick, unexpected changes, I wouldn't have changed working with Diana and the Lago team! And I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again. They are top notch!!!

You know you are in good hands when your family and friends tell you during and after your wedding how impressed they were with the event coordinating. Diana Dejesus and the Lago crew were fantastic to work with throughout the entire process. Diana is kind, thoughtful, and organized. The day of the wedding, she always had a smile on her face while handling so many logistics and making the venue look beautiful with decor. On top of it all, one of the team members, Corina, even played Simon Says to keep the kids walking down the aisle entertained which meant a lot to my family. We could not recommend the Lago team enough, and had the most amazing time celebrating our wedding at their event space. The venue was GORGEOUS!

Great venue for a wedding or other events. We held our daughter's wedding outside, in September. Started the night at the penthouse for cocktails and then in the courtyard for dinner and dancing. Very well done, excellent tents and stage. Mike and his team are easy to work with and try to accommodate most requests.

Hands down, choosing Lago Custom Events was the best decision we have ever made. This place is absolutely incredible. I can't even begin to describe how gorgeous our venue was. We got married on the outside Veranda, had cocktail hour in the tent outside and our reception was in the EY lobby. Everything was absolute perfection. Now, on to the mastermind behind everything, Aubrey!!!!! She was absolutely perfect!!!! I could not have planned our wedding without her, every single thing I needed she took care of. She went above and beyond throughout the entire process. Thank you to everyone at Lago custom events for making our wedding day amazing, more than I could have ever dreamed of.

Mike did a spectacular job coordinating our wedding! From start to finish he went above and beyond!! He really made our vision come to life. Mike was very attentive throughout the process and was able to answer all of our questions. He gave us peace of mind as we were approaching the big day that all the boxes were checked and that we were ready to go. Everything went smoothly the day of so we were able to soak up every second. The rooftop cocktail hour was everything and more! Highly recommend! We are still getting compliments on venue and how wonderful the wedding was. Thank you Mike! Thank you Lago!!
